InfoTrack replaced the training platform CALIS, Computer-Assisted Learning for Information Searching, in September 2016.

InfoTrack is based on content from CALIS and was created by librarians and instructors at the University of Geneva.

Developed by the UNIGE Library, InfoTrack is the result of a collaboration with the Pôle de Soutien à l'Enseignement et à l'Apprentissage (SEA) and the Pôle elearning. Instructors helped with educational aspects of the videos, and experts in specific fields provided theme-specific guidance. Special thanks to Stéphane Jacquemet and Michèle Bergadàa.

The videos were co-written and produced in partnership with La Souris Verte, a multimedia company based in Geneva.

For the development of the platform and some content writing, InfoTrack also benefited from the participation of UNIGE students and of the 2014-2016 class from the "Architecture de l'information" concentration in the Master's of Information Science at the Geneva School of Business Administration.

In 2017, InfoTrack was translated in English with the collaboration of the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting from UNIGE. Translations were done by Aparna Gullapalli, Chelsea Fairless and Tatiana Shabander Welch (Master students) under the direction of Estefania Pio (scientific collaborator), James Tarpley and Melissa Dunlany (lecturers at the English department).
